Please complete the Intent to Register form below if you plan on enrolling your child in the Irvine Unified School District's Transitional Kindergarten program. This is not a registration form, but it will help our district anticipate your child's needs for the 2012-13 school year.
The Kindergarten Readiness Act of 2010 calls for each school district to provide a Transitional Kindergarten program for eligible students. To qualify for the fall of 2012, students must turn five between Nov. 2 and Dec. 2, 2012. Enrollment should be completed at your neighborhood School beginning March 2, 2012.
Periodic T.K. updates will be sent to the email address you provide in the form below, and additional news and information will be posted on our T.K. webpage, which you can access by clicking here. Parents will also be contacted once Transitional Kindergarten program sites have been determined. Note that T.K. programs will operate regionally throughout the district, and parents will be responsible for providing transportation. Due to budget constraints, no district transportation will be offered.
