Jog-a-thon on Wednesday, March 7

Volunteers are needed to support the event. All Corporate Donations are welcome. Look for the flyers for StoneFire Grill (“Westpark Wednesdays” starting on February 8th) and the upcoming one day Wing Stop restaurant event on March 2nd (flyer to follow). Pledge envelopes and event information flyers were sent home in conduits. Let’s do all we can to make this another successful jog-a-thon!

Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice has partnered with the PTA to give back 12% of each purchase made with a Jamba keytag. 10% of each purchase will go directly to Westpark and 2% to the National PTA.

Scrip Program

The popular PTA Scrip Program is still on! Thank you to Laurie Moore for her coordination.

Scrip is essentially another word for gift cards. You pay face value for the gift cards and each retailer offers their own percentage that is given back to the school. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com to see all the retailers available. Scrip proceeds go to the PTA which helps to pay for school needs such as classroom/teacher school supplies, assemblies , PE and music teachers, structured playground activities, field trip busses, and emergency preparedness.

Remember, purchasing Visa gift cards through Westpark Elementary PTA Scrip do not carry any kind of extra fee and 2% is given back to the school. You can also reload gift cards you currently have for some retailers. For more details, please see the scrip flyer and learn how using scrip helps Westpark Elementary. There is information on how to sign up and order scrip online at www.shopwithscrip.com . You will need the enrollment code from the flyer. If you would like to pay online by check, follow the information for signing up for presto-pay. There is a .39 fee for using presto-pay, less than the cost of a stamp.

Any Questions? Please email Laurie Moore at laurie@lauriemoore.com
