Sharon Wallin was re-elected to the Board in November 2006, and is currently serving in her second term. She will serve as Board President for 2010. Sharon has been a CSBA Delegate Assembly member for the past six years and represents the Board on the California Association of Suburban School Districts. In addition to her Irvine duties this year, Sharon will serve as the President of the Orange County School Boards Association.

Sue Kuwabara is serving in her third term after running unopposed in the 2008 election, and will serve as Board Clerk for 2010. Sue is currently CSBA representative to the CIF Southern Section Executive Board and is a member of the State CIF Task Force. She has recently been appointed to the CSBA Nominating Committee and has served on Delegate Assembly for the past seven years.

Gavin Huntley-Fenner, Ph.D., was elected to the Board in November 2006.

Gavin is a scientist and managing consultant with Huntley-Fenner Advisors, a science and engineering consulting firm. His doctorate is in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and he has published research regarding language acquisition and the early development of mathematics. He was a founding member of the Irvine Education Partnership Fund Committee and, prior to joining the Board, he served on the Irvine Public Schools Foundation Executive Board.

Carolyn McInerney is serving in her third term after running unopposed in the 2008 election. In addition to her local involvement, Carolyn also serves on the Executive Board of the Association of Low Wealth Schools and has recently been appointed to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by Governor Schwarzenegger.

Michael Parham was elected to the Board in November 2004 and is serving in his second term after running unopposed in the 2008 election. With a high interest in the green movement, Mike has provided strong leadership in the area of energy conservation and education, with the District being recently selected to receive the California Green Schools Leadership Award.
