Carolyn McInerney, re-elected to the Board in November 2004, is serving in her second term and will serve as the Board President for 2008. Carolyn serves as the Board's representative to the Special Ed and GATE CACs, and represents IUSD on the Association of Low Wealth Schools. Carolyn is the Board's school site liaison to Brywood, Canyon View, Northwood Elem., Northwood H.S., Santiago Hills, Sierra Vista, and Westwood Basics Plus.

Carolyn is employed by the County of Orange as a Manager of Special Projects. She has served as a former President of the Irvine Public Schools Foundation and has been active in providing leadership for legislative action.

Gavin Huntley-Fenner was elected to the Board in November 2006 and was appointed Board Clerk for 2008. Gavin will serve as the Board's representative to the Coalition for Legislative Action, PTA Council, Irvine Prevention Coalition, and the Educational Partnership Fund Committee. Gavin is the Board's school site liaison to Alderwood Basics Plus, Deerfield, Eastshore, Irvine HS., Springbrook, and Venado.

Gavin is a scientist and safety consultant with Exponent.  His doctorate is in Cognitive Sciences and he has published research regarding language acquisition and the early development of mathematics.  Prior to his appointment to the Board, Gavin served on the Board of Trustees of the Irvine Public Schools Foundation.

Sue Kuwabara was re-elected to the Board in November 2004 and is serving in her second term. Sue serves as the Board's representative to the Governing Board of Coastline ROP, Irvine Child Care Project, and the Medical Advisory Board. Sue is the Board's school site liaison to Bonita Canyon, Rancho San Joaquin, Turtle Rock, University H.S., University Park, and Westpark. 

Sue has remained actively involved with the PTA Council and Coalition for Legislative Action. Currently, she is a member of  the Executive Board of CIF - Southern Section. Sue is completing her third term as a Delegate to the California School Boards Association and is Past President of the Orange County School Boards Association.

Michael Parham was elected to the Board in November 2004. Mike serves as the Board's representative to the Nominating Committee of the County Committee on School District Organization, Facility Finance Committee, the Special Ed CAC, and the PTA Council. Mike is the Board's school site liaison to Culverdale, Early Childhood Learning Center, Lakeside, Oak Creek, Plaza Vista, Stone Creek, and Woodbridge H.S.

Mike is Vice President at RSM Equico and has been an active member of the Plaza Vista PTA, including serving as PTA President for the 2004-05 school year.

Sharon Wallin was re-elected to the Board in November 2006, and is currently serving in her second term. She serves as the Board's representative to the Coalition for Legislative Action, Irvine Public Schools Foundation, Irvine Prevention Coalition, and Emergency Response. Sharon is the Board's school site liaison to

College Park, Creekside/San Joaquin H.S., Greentree, Meadow Park, South Lake, Vista Verde and Woodbury.

Sharon also remains active in the PTA Council, serving as the group's parliamentarian through 2007. She has just completed her second term as a Delegate to the California School Boards Association and has been renominated for 2008. Sharon also represents the Board on the California Association of Suburban School Districts.
