TOBACCO-FREE SCHOOLS/SMOKING
(Including Smokeless Tobacco)

Ample research has demonstrated the health hazards associated with the use of tobacco products, including smoking and the breathing of second-hand smoke.

As role models, District employees should demonstrate conduct that is consistent with school programs to discourage students from using tobacco products including smokeless tobacco.

Therefore, in the best interest of students, employees, and the general public, the use of all tobacco products on District property is prohibited.

The District, upon request, will provide interested individuals with a list of clinics and community resources which may assist those who wish to stop using tobacco products.
