RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

 

The Superintendent or his designee(s) is charged with the responsibility of recruitment and selection of personnel to be recommended to the Board of Education for employment. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent or his designee(s) to approve personnel needs within budgetary and staffing allocations.  Approved personnel needs may be met by transfer or promotion of Irvine Unified School District personnel.  In addition, persons recommended for employment shall meet requirements established by law and the Board of Education for the position under consideration.

Prior to initial employment, the District retains the option to have a physician certify that the recommended candidate is in good health and in condition to begin service.
