The Board of Education endorses an
intern teacher program which combines District and
university staff and resources for a comprehensive,
cooperative program of teacher training.
Intern teachers shall enter the
program with a Bachelor's Degree and will be provided
support, assistance, and supervision by qualified
staff. Candidates who successfully complete the
program will meet all state requirements and qualify
for California teaching credentials.
The Irvine Unified School District
may enter into an intern teaching contract with universities
approved to offer such programs by the State of California.
