The Irvine Unified School District offers a continuum of special education

services for children ages 3-5 with various developmental disabilities.

These free services are based on specialists’ assessments

(in all areas of suspected disability), and are determined by

the individualized educational program (IEP) team.

Special education services include (but are not limited to) special day

class preschool, speech and language therapy, behavioral interventions,

occupational therapy and/or physical therapy, and autism clinic services.

The special education staff includes teachers, instructional assistants,

speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, adapted physical education

teacher, physical therapists, school psychologists and a school nurse.
