Immunizations

No Shots, No School!

Students must show they're in compliance with California immunization laws and Irvine Unified School District Policy 5141.31 to attend school. A copy of the student's current immunization record must be on file, at school. The table below outlines the immunization requirements.

TB Skin Testing

Mantoux (PPD) TB Skin Test is required for:

  • All Kindergarten students within 6 months prior to entering school as part of required physical examination.
  • All first grade students within 18 months prior to entering school as a part of required physical examination.

The PPD Skin Test results must be:

  • Recorded in millimeters of measurements  • indicated as positive or negative
  • Signed and dated by registered nurse or physician.

Physical Examination

All kindergarten students must have examination no more than six months prior to entering kindergarten ( if exam is completed 6-12 months prior to kindergarten entrance, another physical exam will be required prior to first grade entry.

All first grade entry must have examination no more than 18 months prior to first grade entry.
