Debbie Babish is a sixteen year veteran of the Elementary Science Specialist Program. Debbie’s humor, enthusiasm, professional commitment, and dynamic teaching techniques make her a popular favorite with students, parents, and teachers.
Miss Babish’s love of science is infectious. Her favorite units to teach are Forces and Motion, Electricity, and Oceanography. Debbie Babish is a leader among science teachers. She is a talented curriculum writer and lesson planner and is constantly updating and improving I.U.S.D.’s 4-6 science program. Miss Babish continually updates her knowledge and skills by attending workshops, such as those offered through the U.C.I. Summer Science Institute and through her involvement with the National Science Teachers and California Science Teachers Associations. She has been a presenter at both CSTA and OCSEA conferences.
Debbie lives in San Juan, Capistrano. After school she likes to spend time outdoors working with horses. Miss Babish is a former recipient of Irvine’s Excellence in Teaching Award, but in truth, Debbie Babish continues to demonstrate excellence in teaching day in and day out.
