The goal of Red Ribbon Week is to raise the awareness that living a lifestyle free of drugs, alcohol and tobacco will help you succeed! We had many wonderful art and essay entries entitled "Dream, Believe, Achieve, Succeed". The following students' entries were submitted to the Red Ribbon Coalition to compete at the district level! The district level winners for each grade will be announced at the Red Ribbon closing ceremony on Friday, November 13th at 5:00 at Irvine City Hall.

Congratulations to all students who participated in the art/essay contest! Everyone did a great job!
Penny Drive
Also, during Red Ribbon Week each school has a penny drive to collect money for drug prevention education and activities. Classrooms compete (upper versus lower grades) for the most pennies collected! This year's classroom winners of the penny drive are:
Primary Grades - Ms. Sodorff's classroom with 87.5 pounds of pennies
Upper Grades - Ms. Walsh's classroom with 92.5 pounds of pennies
Thanks again to everyone for their continued support forRed Ribbon Week and the prevention of drugs, alcohol and tobacco use!
COLD & FLU SEASON
With cold and flu season in full swing, do not send your child back to school unless he or she is fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication. This is very important not only for your child's well-being, but in order to prevent germs from spreading to others.
If your child is out of school for more than 3 days, a doctor's note must be turned into the school upon their return.
