Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to our Greentree family of learners. I hope you have had a stress free, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. It is truly an honor to be your principal once again for the 2011-2012 school year. I look forward to getting to know our new students and families as well as catch up with our returning families in the upcoming months. I will continue to work very closely with the dedicated group of teachers and staff of Greentree to support them in ensuring that your child has the best possible education.
Greentree continues to be a school that takes pride in having strong academic and fine arts programs as well as a strong-values education program. We are committed to giving each child the highest quality education we can envision in order to meet their individual learning needs.
We value a strong partnership with each family and I want to personally invite you to take an active role in your child’s education. There are many opportunities for you to participate, ranging from becoming a V.I.T.A.L. parent volunteer to membership on our School Site Council and in our Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Please read all school notices that come home electronically and in hard copy form, as well as check our website (www.iusd.org/gr) periodically for other opportunities to become involved with your school.
Greentree instituted a go “GREEN” philosophy this past year! Please make sure to keep your e-mail address (es) and phone numbers updated at https://my.iusd.org and with the school’s main office staff. We will send out school closures, early dismissals and other pertinent information and reminders via e-mail and the Phone Notification System this school year.
