Irvine Family Resource Center A Student and Family Resource Center 2 Meadowbrook (Adjacent to Woodbridge High School Campus) Irvine, CA 92604 Phone: 949-936-7987 Fax: 949-936-7949 Supporting Safe Schools and Healthy Students Located in Irvine, California, the Irvine Family Resource Center is a friendly, caring place for students, families, school staff, and community members. Our staff can provide information, counseling referrals, and access to various services for Irvine Unified School District students of all ages and their families. Our goal is to provide students and their families the opportunity to develop skills for healthy living. Nearly all of our services are either free or low cost to students and families, and if we don’t offer a particular service you are interested in, we can help you find it. Family and student counseling services are available at the Irvine Family Resource Center and on all IUSD campuses. Services Provided by the IFRC: · Individual, group and family counseling · Student substance abuse intervention · Support for increased school attendance (SARB) · Basic-needs support referrals (food, utility and/or rent assistance) · Crisis intervention and management · Referrals to community agencies and programs · Parent education opportunities · Anger management counseling · Strategies for enhanced school support · Project Success referrals Irvine Family Resource Center Goals: · Support students and families in their choices toward a healthy and safe lifestyle. · Increase resilience and asset development among students and families that may help prevent substance abuse and/or violence. · Decrease incidence and prevalence of problem behaviors related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. Community Partners: The Irvine Family Resource Center is committed to participating with community partners. As a proud member of the Irvine Prevention Coalition, we believe that resources for students and families exist in our community. It is our goal to help connect students and families with the people, agencies and organizations that can help. Services provided by the IFRC are confidential and our collaborating partners are working together with us to make these services available to all students and families in Irvine.
