Project Success

Program Overview

Project Success is a grant-funded program that provides research-based prevention, intervention, and youth development services for students and families on each of IUSD’s middle and high school campuses.

Some of the most daunting barriers to counseling and intervention services are often time, transportation, and cost.  Project Success eliminates these concerns for students and families by providing services for students at school, thus eliminating both the issues of time and transportation.  These services are provided at no cost to students and families and are currently supported by grants from the California Department of Education and the City of Irvine’s Education Partnership Fund.

Project Success services focus on the following life skills:

  • Academic/Personal Goal Setting
  • Teambuilding
  • Improving Communication with Family/peers
  • Developing Healthy Self-Esteem
  • Stress/Anger Management
  • Career Awareness
  • Avoiding Peer Pressure

Other services available to students in grades 7-12 include:

  • Alcohol and Other Drug Intervention program
  • Tobacco Awareness and Cessation program
