National
Junior Honors Society:
Qualifications for membership in Lakeside Middle School
National Junior Honor Society include maintaining a 4.0
average for two consecutive trimesters, outstanding grades
"Os" in citizenship and work habits in four out
of six subjects, along with verification of leadership,
character, citizenship and service.
NJHS is a service organization that meets
monthly and participates in activities to serve both the
school and the community.
Honor
Roll Criteria:
"Principal's
Honor Roll" - Eligibility Criteria
- A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or
better with no grade lower than a "B".
- A student may not receive "U's" or "N's" on any trimester
grade report.
"Staff
Honor Roll" - Eligibility Criteria
- A student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or
higher with no grade lower than a "C."
- A student may no receive "U's" or "N's" on any trimester
grade report.
"Citizenship
Honor Roll" - Eligibility Criteria
- A student must receive "O's" in Work Habits and Citizenship
in at least four of his/her six subject areas.
- A student may no receive "U's" or "N's" on any trimester
grade report.
- A student who meets the above qualifications must
also receive staff approval.
Students who qualify receive a special certificate.
All certificates will be awarded by the Advisor after report
cards have been received. The list of names of all students
who qualify per trimester will be published. There will
be group activities periodically through the school year
for those students who have qualified for any of the honor
rolls.
