PTA

Meadow Park School is pleased to acknowledge the support of an active group of parents who devote their time and talents to promote activities and events for our students. Our parents also assist in providing financial support, not available through other means, which improves the quality of learning and increases opportunities for enrichment for all students.

Our PTA maintains a legislative action network subcommittee committed to respond in writing or by telephone to our Sacramento legislators on critical legislative issues affecting education. We feel that the expressed voice of the people is one of the best ways to ensure legislative support for our schools. We need your help! Current PTA News:

1. Learn what the IUSD School Board is doing on the budget.

The IUSD website has the information available on its web page under “Budget Watch.”
The Meadow Park website now has a link to the Budget Watch on our main page and on our News page.

2. Become a member of the IUSD Parent Portal, which allows you to receive email information directly from
Superintendent Gwen Gross. Information is sent out on a regular basis to all Parent Portal members about issues
and information that affect the community. The Parent Portal website is: www.myiusd.org.

3. Share your ideas: If you have an idea on what the PTA can do to fight the state budget cuts, share it with us.
You can email me your ideas, call me with your ideas, or send you ideas in a note to the school. Your child’s
teacher will forward the note to the PTA.
