Parents share with children and teachers the responsibility for homework. Homework strengthens school academics and builds student responsibility, as well as mental discipline, essential tools necessary for a productive and fulfilling life. Forms of homework may include: reinforcement of concepts taught in class, independent practice and application, completion of assigned class work, missed assignments, long-term assignments, enrichment and enhancement of school experiences through related activities at home. In addition to homework some children will have unfinished class work to complete. Each child should read daily and complete homework. Homework is assigned with the following daily time guidelines:
It is recognized that the type and length of homework assignments must be related to the students needs, interest, and maturity. If you have any concerns about your childs homework, please contact your childs teacher. |
