My teaching career at Meadow Park School has spanned the last 20 years and grades 2, 3, 4, and 5. I graduated from UCI in 1977 with a BA in Social Sciences and a teaching credential. In 1988, I obtained a MA in Reading from California State Fullerton. I was honored to represent Meadow Park in 1988 as our Teacher of the Year. I am currently a Board Member of the Irvine Public Schools Foundation which is one of the most successful private organizations supporting public education in the United States. My duties there provide the opportunity to dialogue with business and community supporters.

5th grade math is an area of expertise and I regularly attend both California and National Math Conferences to glean ideas from a variety of outstanding math teachers. I worked this summer to enhance math instruction in the areas of Measurement and Geometry, and look forward to introduce these new lessons with students. My outside interests include snow skiing, gardening, baking, and Mary Engelbreit art. I live in Irvine and look forward to riding my bike to school and encouraging my students to join me.
