Lauren Viscardi

Welcome to third grade and Meadow Park, the “Nordstrom’s of Irvine schools”, (that’s a quote from Mrs. Hunter…we now must continue to live up to that status). This will be my 16^th year at Meadow Park and my 9^th year teaching enthusiastic third graders. I’ve also experienced the joys and challenges of teaching 30+ fourth graders for seven years. Twenty to one ratio is by far more manageable! (Kudos to our upper grade staff!!!)

As many of you already know, I have moved inside the building after spending eight years out yonder in the tiny portables. I’m still in the process of “moving in” and “redecorating” as I continue barricading myself in for soundproofing. Hopefully I will be completed before June. Wow, I can actually move around the classroom without bruising now!!

I am a transient from central New York and married to my computer whiz chemical engineer husband, Chris Stacklin, a San Diego native. We are child-free, but I’ve been accused of over mothering my two cats, Poopurr and Spud, and three turtles, “Dewie, Cheet’em, and Howie” (named by my husband apparently from a Three Stooges skit). Luckily, as a teacher, I get to also nurture 20+ Meadow Park children. I’m looking forward to a great year!
