• To become GATE identified, a student must meet one of the following three requirements:

1. Score 500 or above in math and 500 or above in language arts on the Spring 2008 CST test taken in the third grade or after

2. Score at 95% or above on the Otis Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) given each winter to students in grades 3-6, and summer for students in middle school

3. Qualify on an approved individual IQ test given by a licensed educational psychologist administered during the third grade year or after.
