Health Safety Newsletter 2010

Dear Plaza Vista Families,

Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! I am proud and honored to be the principal in a community where students, parents, and staff work together to provide students with a
positive educational experience.

I look forward to seeing you on our first day ~ Wednesday, July 28th. Class lists will be posted on our PV website after 4 p.m. on Monday, July 26th.

We also invite all new families to join us at 5 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon for our PTA’s “New Family Orientation & Welcome”. We’ll be meeting in the MPR. Come meet other new families and enjoy some refreshments! Other Important PTA dates:

• July 26-Aug. 30 PTA Pledge Drive to raise funds for school programs, materials, and other support K-8
• July 26- Aug. 30 Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Membership Campaign--stand up to be counted for our school!
• August 27 Deadline for Distinguished school Spirit Shirt order form
• August 11 PTA General meeting 6:00 PM featuring a workshop by "Safe Routes to School" organization about traffic safety and healthier ways to commute
• Aug 16 Early bird drawing for turning in pledge/membership forms
• Aug. 16 Deadline to return Directory Opt-Out form--to limit or remove contact information from the Plaza Vista School Directory

It is my belief that Plaza Vista will continue to meet and exceed the marks and standards of excellence. Our community is a find in itself, with supportive parents, dedicated teachers and conscientious students. I am sincerely impressed by the staff members' expectations, dedication and compassion for the school community. In a community that seeks the best for its youth, among students hungry to learn, I invite you to experience the vision of Plaza Vista by becoming involved as much as possible in this wonderful school.
