There are a number of support programs, which enhance the core program of the classrooms. Early Childhood Literacy Project, Collaborative Literacy Intervention Program (CLIP), Science Little League, Junior Achievement, Meet the Masters, DARE, Partners in Print, Family Math and Family Science are all programs that enhance our core program. The ACE after school program offers enrichment to students, is sponsored by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, and is run by parent volunteers. In a cooperative spirit, parents, teachers and administration work together to identify areas for school improvement. School Site Council and PTA play and active role in sharing partnership within the school to support academic programs and direct financial resources to meet student needs. Technology has been a focus as we enter the 21st century. Our computer lab assists students through learning technological skills. Students then apply their experiences allowing for inquiry, exploration, discovery and reinforcement with the goal of becoming lifelong learners. As a result of the collaborative process, there is a great deal of ownership within programs and school operations shared between parents and staff.
