Judith Koch-Jones, College and Career Center Coordinator at University High School since 1996.

Background Information: B.A. - Loma Linda University; M.A. – UC Irvine.  Master’s thesis: Adolescent’s Perceptions of Risk.  Employed at UC Irvine on a study of early child care prior to coming to UHS.  I have three adult sons and seven grandchildren.
                                                           
Most enjoyable aspects of my job: Working with students! I particularly enjoy talking with students about choosing colleges, and I love to see students who come back to let me know how they are doing.

Most Frequently Asked Questions: How do I sign up for the SAT or ACT? Where should I go for community service? What do I need to do for a work permit? What do I have to do to get into UC? How can I get scholarships?

Hobbies: Reading, photography, gardening, travel, walking, hiking and cooking.

Professional Interests: 1. Promote reading for student improvement and enjoyment. 2. Transitions: a. to high school, b. to post-secondary options
 
Personal Interests: Promote literacy.  Preserve open space.  Support environmental care.  (Be good to Mother Nature!) Holistic health – mind, body, spirit connection.
