     One of the very important ways we communicate with our parents is through the Panther Pause Newsletter. It is published approximately once per month and contains information about student activities, upcoming parent opportunities, and other special upcoming events. Our staff makes every effort to post the newsletter the first week of each month. We hope that the newsletter connects every family with the school by inviting them to become active in their student’s education and our University Park Elementary community. 
     In the future, we hope to provide the newsletter on-line which we know will encourage more readers and possibly save paper and expenses. In order to make this possibility effective, please take a few minutes to sign up for MyIUSD.org, the parent portal to information about attendance. Through the parent portal you may verify your current emergency information, therefore keeping your records up-to-date for emergency contact.  
    Please watch for the newsletter, read it completely, and send a note to your child’s teacher telling them you read the entire newsletter. This entitles your child to a Panther Pawsitive reward.
