Our Partnership STAR/CST
The commitment to excellence is a hallmark of Vista Verde K-8 School. As a school and community partnership, our promise is to provide the highest quality educational experience we can envision for our students. To meet the vision of our commitment to excellence, we continuously evaluate and improve our current practices. The follow document is being provided to you in honor of our partnership. Our Continuous Improvement Efforts this year are focused on improving the learning for each individual student and were written as a result of significant reflection and the use of evidence including STAR/CST, and both summative and formative assessments. Vista Verde has demonstrated growth each year as evidenced in our STAR school-wide scores. Last year we achieved 929 on the Academic Performance Indicator and a 10 out of 10 on the similar schools rankings putting Vista Verde among the top schools in Irvine Unified School District. Our goal is to continue to implement effective instructional practices that help keep our balance and prepare our students for the future they face.

Got Clothes Your Grade Schooler Has Outgrown?
If you have a younger child, you know that he or she sometimes comes home in a fresh change of clothes, courtesy of the Health Clerk. The supply of spare clothes has dwindled and our Health Clerk could use more spare clothes. She is mainly in need of sizes that will fit K through 3rd grade, with a primary need for pants, shorts, and t-shirts. Drop off donations in a bag at the nurse's office.
