The state, Illinois has a nickname called ‘The Prairie State'. It also has a motto. It is ‘State Sovereignty, National Union'. It also has a state Bird witch is Cardinal, the fish is Bluegill, the animal is White-tailed Deer.

Illinois’s state flower is violet, the rock name is Fluorite, the state tree name is white oak.
