Hawaii once was a independent kingdom ruled by king kamehameha. He requested for the design. It has Eight stripes in the order white, red ,and blue. The flag of Briton is in the upper left corner to honor their friendship. The capitol is Honolulu.

Hawaii’s state motto is The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness. Its nickname is the aloha state. Hawaii’s state bird is the Hawaiian goose. The Picasso triggerfish is Hawaii’s state fish. Hawaii’s state mammal is the monk seal.  The state flower is the yellow hibiscus. Hawaii’s state tree is the kukui. It does not have a state rock or mineral . Hawaii's state gem is black coral.

Hawaii’s state bird is the Hawaiian goose.
